The Diocesan Cycle of Prayer is the means whereby all the people of the Diocese, and of the Church in Scotland and further afield, can be covered by prayer each month. The Cycle is observed by churches in the Diocese, but please also consider making it a cornerstone of your own daily devotions.
As part of the process of electing our new bishop, we offer the following prayer
Loving God
- for those we have entrusted with the search for a new bishop:
we ask Your Spirit's Gifts of vision, wisdom and discernment;
- for our diocese:
we ask an eagerness to welcome the one You will send as an apostle to encourage your mission among us in Glasgow and Galloway;
- for us all:
we ask a new attentiveness to Your Will and to the needs of the world.
Through Jesus Christ Our Living and Eternal Lord.
