About Local Collaborative Ministry

The post of Provincial Local Collaborative Ministry Officer came to an end in December 2008 but existing materials are retained and can be found in the Downloads section for reference purposes.

Local Collaborative Ministry (LCM) is one of the Scottish Episcopal Church’s tapestry of strategies aimed at empowering congregations to participate more fully in mission.

LCM maintains that ministry is the responsibility of the baptised people of God; all are called and equipped by the Spirit for the exercise of Christ’s ongoing work in the world and in the church.

Fundamental to LCM’s approach is the provision of educational resources to entire congregations, thus forming everyone for their ministries-for-mission, whether those be exercised in daily life and work, or within the gathered community of the church.
