Finding God in the City - Radio 4 Sunday Worship
Sunday Worship (08.10) on BBC Radio 4 will this Sunday (1 July 2007) come from St Mary's Episcopal Cathedral in Glasgow. The Provost of the Cathedral, the Very Rev Kelvin Holdsworth will lead the service accompanied by the Rev Shona Lillie and the Cathedral's Choir which is directed by Frikki Walker.

General Synod 2007 Report
A report on the General Synod of the Scottish Episcopal Church, which took place at Palmerston Place Church from Thursday 7 to Saturday 9 June. Church members from Episcopal Churches across Scotland discussed and debated a wide range of matters affecting the day to day running of the Church and its role in wider issues.

Opening of 2007 General Synod
The 2007 General Synod of the Scottish Episcopal Church was constituted during a Choral Eucharist Service in St Mary's Episcopal Cathedral, Edinburgh. In his Charge to the Synod, the Primus, The Most Rev Dr Idris Jones, challenged Synod members to commit themselves to be the Scottish Episcopal Church at its best and encouraged them to make their churches more inclusive.

Scottish Episcopal Church Gathers for General Synod
The annual SEC General Synod takes place from 7 to 9 June in Palmerston Place Church, Edinburgh. Church members from Episcopal Churches across Scotland attend the three day meeting at which a wide range of matters affecting the day to day running of the Church and the Church's role in wider issues are debated.

New Bishop Elected for Moray, Ross & Caithness
The Rev Canon Mark Strange has today been elected as the new Bishop for the Diocese of Moray, Ross & Caithness. Mark, presently Rector of Holy Trinity Church, Elgin, said: "I am so excited by this opportunity to work alongside the people of the Highlands and Moray."

MPs Sent Anti-Trident Message
The Primus of the Scottish Episcopal Church, the Most Rev Dr Idris Jones, and Mrs Nancy Adams, Convener of the Church in Society Committee, have added their signatures to a letter encouraging all MPs to reject the renewal of Trident.

Candidates Shortlisted for Bishop of Aberdeen & Orkney
Four candidates have been short-listed for the post of Bishop of Aberdeen & Orkney, one of the seven dioceses of the Scottish Episcopal Church, which became vacant last July following the retirement of the Rt Rev Bruce Cameron, who served the diocese as Bishop for 14 years.

Bishops Join in Prayers for Peace
The Bishop of Glasgow & Galloway and Primus of the Scottish Episcopal Church, The Most Rev Dr Idris Jones, and the Bishop of Edinburgh, the Rt Rev Brian Smith, joined other church leaders and members of the public at St John's Episcopal Church, Edinburgh at 1pm today for a special service of prayer against Trident Renewal.
