A Peace Covenant for Scotland
The Rt Rev Brian Smith, Bishop of Edinburgh, joined First Minister Alex Salmond and the Rt Rev Sheilagh Kesting, Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland in signing a Peace Covenant for Scotland, on Wednesday 1 November at the Scottish Parliament.

Church Traditions Brought Together in Unique Partnership in Dumfries
On the afternoon of Sunday 30 September 2007 a unique Covenant was signed in St John's Scottish Episcopal Church, Dumfries, linking the Scottish Episcopal Church's Diocese of Glasgow and Galloway and the Glasgow Circuit of the Methodist Church in Scotland.

Exploring the Essence of Religion: Bishop’s House, Iona 5 to 9 November 2007
'Exploring the Essence of Religion' intends to go beyond the outward form of religion; moving from religion as an idea to religion as an experience. Drawing on the 'big five' (Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, Christianity and Islam) religious traditions; the retreat will be made up of giving a taste of what these ancient paths teach. Ultimately it is to go beyond ideas and words to 'reality' itself.

Primus accepts invitation to become joint Patron of InclusiveChurch

New Bishop Elected for Moray, Ross & Caithness
The Rev Canon Mark Strange has today been elected as the new Bishop for the Diocese of Moray, Ross & Caithness. Mark, presently Rector of Holy Trinity Church, Elgin, said: "I am so excited by this opportunity to work alongside the people of the Highlands and Moray."
