All are welcome- In an Easter reflection the Most Rev David Chillingworth, Bishop of St Andrews, Dunkeld & Dunblane and Primus of the Scottish Episcopal Church says: "Good Friday and Easter Day are the centre of the Christian faith story. Our churches will be busy this weekend. Our worship will be full of drama and emotion as we tell again what we believe to be the greatest story of all human history. You will be welcome join us and to be part of that."

Scottish Church leaders’ Easter appeal to Government- In a joint letter Scottish church leaders are demanding that the billions of pounds spent on nuclear weapons be used instead to help the nation’s most vulnerable citizens and say the possession of nuclear weapons is “unjust and wrong” – and that violence “can be expressed in threat as well as in deed”.

A celebration of Easter from St Mary’s Cathedral, Glasgow - BBC Radio Scotland- An Easter celebration will be broadcast from St Mary's Cathedral, Glasgow on BBC Radio Scotland at 08.05 on Easter day. It will be lead by the Very Rev Kelvin Holdsworth, Provost of St Mary's Cathedral.

New Dean named for Diocese of Glasgow & Galloway- At the Glasgow & Galloway Synod on Saturday 27 February, the Bishop-Elect Very Rev Dr Gregor Duncan announced that following his Consecration as Bishop on 23 April it is his intention to appoint the Rev Ian Barcroft as the new Dean of the Diocese.

Rural Commission Conference- The third Action of Churches Together in Scotland (ACTS)/Scottish Episcopal Church (SEC) Rural Commission Conference will take place on Saturday 13 March in the Acorn Centre, Inverurie from 10.30am to 4pm. The Rural Futures Report - outcome of the Scottish Churches Rural Group Conference held last December - is now available on the ACTS website.

Being Rural Church in 2025 Conference- The second Scottish Episcopal Church Rural Commission Conference will take place on Saturday 20th February at St Johns, Inverness (10am-4pm). The programme for the event has been driven by the key issues which emerged from the Action of Churches Together in Scotland/Scottish Episcopal Church (SEC) Rural Futures Conference held in December 2009.

Thought for the Day from Rob Warren- The Rev Rob Warren, the Scottish Episcopal priest who works in Penicuik and West Linton was the presenter of Radio Scotland's Thought for the Day on 2 February 2010. The theme of the Thought was compassion:
"We don’t always manage to do the good we intend, but unless we take the best stab at it we can, the feelings we have inside of us may remain merely feelings."

Inspires Online Launched- The new newsletter for the Scottish Episcopal Church, Inspires Online, has been launched. This e-mail based news source is for everyone interested in the Scottish Episcopal Church and is available by signing up at the subscribe page. Commenting on the launch, the Very Rev Kelvin Holdsworth, the Convener of the Information and Communication Board said, "I hope that this new communication tool will be useful and would like to thank those who have been working on it. Please pass on details of this new news source to anyone whom you know who would like to receive it."

New Bishop elected for Glasgow and Galloway- The Very Rev Dr Gregor Duncan was today elected the new bishop of Glasgow and Galloway, following the retirement last year of the Rt Rev Dr Idris Jones, who had served the diocese as Bishop for 11 years.

Prayer for the Day- The Very Rev Kelvin Holdsworth, the Provost of St Mary's Cathedral in Glasgow is featured in the BBC Radio 4 Prayer for the Day slot on 16 January 2010 and 18-22 January 2010.
The two minute slot is broadcast at 0543. Those who want to hear these broadcasts but who are not early risers can listen to them using the BBC's iPlayer via the Prayer for the Day website. The text of each broadcast will also be published on Kelvin Holdsworth's blog.
