Piskie on the Plinth

Posted Wednesday 19 August 2009

The Rev Jim Wynn-Evans, a member of Edinburgh Diocese, will be on the fourth plinth in Trafalgar Square, London from 8am-9am tomorrow (20 August).  Jim will mime a typical sunday service from his church (Old St Paul’s in Edinburgh) and will appeal for support for the restoration and renewal project at Old St Paul’s.  You can watch Jim live on the plinth on www.oneandother.co.uk .

‘One and Other’ is a live artwork by sculptor Antony Gormley. Between July and October this year, he is creating ‘living statues’ - 2,400 participants representing every region of the UK each spend an hour alone on the empty plinth in Trafalgar Square.  Places for this are being allocated by ballot.

Friday 20 November 2009

'Almighty God, whose Son Jesus Christ is the resurrection and the life: raise us, who trust in him, from the death of sin to the life of righteousness, that we may seek those things which are above, where he reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.'
