Sexuality Listening Day Conference Programme

Posted Thursday 01 May 2008

This is a reminder that the Sexuality Listening Day Conference sponsored by the College of Bishops is due to take place on Saturday 3 May 2008.

The event will be chaired by the Primus and the design for the day is being worked on by facilitators Alison Clark and Tony Coxon who were involved in the successful Listening Day organised by the Diocese of Argyll & the Isles in 2007 (please see the Argyll Listening Day Report below).

The Bishop of Meath and Kildare, the Most Rev Dr Richard Clarke, will open the day by setting the context in terms of the wider world and Anglican Communion. During the day, it is envisaged that 'listening' will take place in facilitated small groups and there will be an opportunity for those attending to raise specific issues during the course of the day.

'Almighty God, whose Son Jesus Christ is the resurrection and the life: raise us, who trust in him, from the death of sin to the life of righteousness, that we may seek those things which are above, where he reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.'
