Organisation Details

Organisation Title
The Mission to Seafarers, Scotland
Description

The Mission to Seafarers, formerly called The Missions to Seamen, is a missionary society of the Anglican Church, which cares for the spiritual and practical welfare of all seafarers regardless of nationality or faith.

Through our network of chaplains, staff and volunteers in 300 ports worldwide, we reach out to them by visiting them on their ships, offering a welcome and whatever help may be needed.

In over 100 ports we run centres where seafarers can relax away from their ships, get local information, find help with problems, share worship and telephone or email home.

Prayer for the Week

Candle

Friday 16 May 2008

'Almighty God, whose Son Jesus Christ is the resurrection and the life: raise us, who trust in him, from the death of sin to the life of righteousness, that we may seek those things which are above, where he reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.'
