The Scottish Prayer Book Society
Description

The Scottish Prayer Book Society's aims:

  1. To uphold the worship and doctrine of the Scottish Episcopal Church as enshrined in the Scottish Book of Common Prayer and in The Liturgy 1970.
  2. To encourage the use of the Scottish Book of Common Prayer and The Liturgy 1970 as a major element in the worshipping life of the Scottish Episcopal Church.
  3. To encourage the use of the Scottish Book of Common Prayer and The Liturgy 1970 for the training of candidates for Confirmation and Ordination.
  4. To spread the knowledge of the Scottish Book of Common Prayer, The Liturgy 1970 and the doctrine contained therein and above all to see it used and taught.
  5. To collaborate with The Prayer Book Society in England, and with other societies in the United Kingdom, and elsewhere, having compatible purposes.
