A Church for Scotland

  • Author: Gerald Stranraer-Mull
  • Price: £1.00
  • Published: Revised 2006

This booklet provides a brief history of the Scottish Episcopal Church. From the author's foreword:

"In a fast moving church, or indeed nation, it is difficult to know where you are going unless you know from whence you have come. In a history of this length it has not been possible to do more than point to some of the milestones down the centuries. It is offered as a 'roadmap' of the journey of the Scottish Episcopal Church so far.

"This edition of the story ends at Easter 2006. A new Primus is about to be elected and more new bishops chosen. And in each congregation, day and week by week, the faithful witness continues. It is indeed a continuing and developing story."

'Almighty God, whose Son Jesus Christ is the resurrection and the life: raise us, who trust in him, from the death of sin to the life of righteousness, that we may seek those things which are above, where he reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.'
