The legal framework of the Scottish Episcopal Church is set out in the Code of Canons.

Canon 52 ('Of the General Synod') authorises the General Synod to pass resolutions to provide for the implementation of the Canons, for the regulation of the Synod's own procedure and for the regulation of all matters of property, finance and general administration throughout the Church; these are contained in the Digest of Resolutions.

The Code of Canons, together with the Digest of Resolutions of the General Synod, is issued in a ring-binder, and additions are sent out to registered holders of copies of the Code each year following the meetings of the General Synod.

The Code of Canons can also be downloaded free of charge below:

Prayer for the Week

Candle

Saturday 7 November 2009

'Almighty God, whose Son Jesus Christ is the resurrection and the life: raise us, who trust in him, from the death of sin to the life of righteousness, that we may seek those things which are above, where he reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.'
