About the Youth Network

The Provincial Youth Network (PYN) is a network of young people, youth workers and youth chaplains from across the Scottish Episcopal Church.

Each diocese is invited to send two youth representatives and the Youth Officer. The PYN also includes the coordinator for the 18-25 group and those who represent the youth of the Church at provincial and international levels.

All our meetings are open and often include the young people or workers from the diocese or area we are meeting in.

The task of the group is to report on Diocesan Youth activities, to organise Provincial Youth Activities and to ensure the voice of the young people can be heard in the church. To this end we organise the annual Youth Camps at Glenalmond College, the 18-25 retreats on Iona and at Alnmouth, we coordinate Youth Leadership Training and the sharing of ideas and activities across the province.

The Network also has responsibility for the awarding of Diocesan grants for youth work.

The network also tries very hard to be fun, so if you have gifts to offer then please get in touch!

Prayer for the Week

Candle

Saturday 7 November 2009

'Almighty God, whose Son Jesus Christ is the resurrection and the life: raise us, who trust in him, from the death of sin to the life of righteousness, that we may seek those things which are above, where he reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.'
