The Rev Michael Last was appointed as Priest in Charge of the Isla Deveron Group (St Marnan, Aberchirder; Christ Church, Huntly; Holy Trinity, Keith) and Gordon Chapel, Fochabers on 18 March 2017.
The Rev Bryan Owen died on 29 March 2017. 1947. Following curacies in the Diocese of Canterbury at St George, Deal, from 1986 to 1987 and at St Martin in Herne, Herne Bay from 1987 to 1989, he was Rector of St Aidan’s, Clarkston from 1989 to 1993. He then served as Warden of Scottish Churches House, Dunblane from 1993 to 1996 before becoming Vicar of St Mary-the-Virgin, Cuddington in the Diocese of Guildford in 1996. After his retirement in 2001, until 2017 he held a Warrant in the Diocese of Glasgow and Galloway and served as Assistant Priest at St James the Less, Bishopbriggs. He was 69. May he rest in peace, and rise in glory.
The Very Rev Nicki McNelly currently Provost of St John’s Cathedral, Oban and Rector of St James’ Church, Ardbrecknish, will become Rector of St Cuthbert’s Church, Colinton, Edinburgh from July 2017.
The Rev Amanda Fairclough will be appointed Priest in Charge and Lead Evangelist for The West Highland Region in the diocese of Argyll and The Isles from July 2017.
