The appointment of a Digital Missioner for the Diocese of St Andrews, Dunkeld and Dunblane is a new post intended to enable online outreach in the Diocese. This will involve training and enabling people in the churches of the Diocese in effective online activity. It will also involve the coordination of digital communications for the Diocese itself.
This post is an excellent opportunity for a skilled writer with working knowledge of a variety of digital communication media including social media platforms, website maintenance, and online newsletter programmes. The role will include helping in the development of a Diocesan communication strategy. This will include elements such as overseeing the production of a monthly online newsletter, the management of the Diocesan website and social media accounts, production of publicity documentation and copy, event coverage and general support of colleagues in communications matters.
A sympathy with the aims of the Scottish Episcopal Church is an essential occupational requirement of this role.
