The Very Rev John Terence Shone died on 19 July 2017 aged 82. He served as Curate at St Pancras Parish Church in London from 1960-62. From there he moved to Scotland and became Chaplain at the Cathedral Church of St Andrew, Aberdeen from 1962-65. Afterwards he moved to Lincoln and worked as a Vicar at St Andrew and St Luke, Grimsby from 1968-69. He then returned to Scotland and served as Rector at St Saviour, Bridge of Alloa from 1969-86. Priest-in-Charge at St John the Evangelist, Alloa, from 1977-85 .Priest-in-Charge at St James the Great, Dollar from 1981-86. He worked as Rector at Hillfoots Team Ministry from 1977-86. In 1980, he was installed as Canon at St Ninian’s Cathedral, Perth until 1989. In 2000, he retired. During his retirement, he was installed as Dean Emeritus of the from 2000-2017. He served as Assistant Priest at St John the Evangelist, Alloa from 2000-09. May he rest in peace, and rise in glory.
