2. that he may rule your people righteously *
and the poor with justice;
3. that the mountains may bring prosperity to the people, *
and the little hills bring righteousness.
4. He shall defend the needy among the people, *
rescuing the poor and crushing the oppressor.
5. He shall live as long as the sun and moon endure, *
from one generation to another.
6. He shall come down like rain upon the mown field, *
like showers that water the earth.

there shall be abundance of peace till the moon shall
be no more.
8. He shall rule from sea to sea, *
and from the River to the ends of the earth.
9. His foes shall bow down before him, *
and his enemies lick the dust.
10. The rulers of Tarshish and of the isles shall pay tribute, *
and the rulers of Arabia and Saba offer gifts.

and all the nations do him service.
12. For he shall deliver the poor who cries out in distress *
and the oppressed who has no helper.

and shall preserve the lives of the needy.
14. He shall redeem their lives from oppression and violence, *
and dear shall their blood be in his sight.
15. Long may he live! *
And may there be given to him gold from Arabia; may
prayer be made for him always, and may they bless
him all the day long.
16. May there be abundance of grain on the earth,
growing thick even on the hilltops;
may its fruit flourish like Lebanon, and its grain like
grass upon the earth
17. May his name remain for ever and be established as long as the sun endures; *
may all the nations bless themselves in him and call
him blessed.
18. Blessed are you, Lord God, the God of Israel, *
for you alone do wondrous deeds!
19. And blessed be your glorious name for ever *
and may all the earth be filled with your glory.

Silence
Response Psalm 147.12
You delight, Lord, in those who fear you.
You delight, Lord, in those who fear you.
Who wait in hope for your mercy.
Those who fear you.
Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit
You delight, Lord, in those who fear you.
SONG OF MARY
Song of Mary Antiphon: The Lord swore to David,* the fruit of your body I will set upon your
throne.
*my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour;
2 for he has looked with favour on his lowly servant;*
from this day all generations will call me blessed.
3 The Almighty has done great things for me*
and holy is his name.
4 He has mercy on those who fear him*
in every generation.
5 He has shown the strength of his arm;*
he has scattered the proud in their conceit.
6 He has cast down the mighty from their thrones*
and has lifted up the lowly.
7 He has filled the hungry with good things,*
and the rich he has sent away empty.
8 He has come to the help of his servant Israel,*
for he has remembered his promise of mercy,
9 the promise he made to our forebears,*
to Abraham and his children for ever.
Glory to the Father... (may be said by all)
Song of Mary Antiphon: The Lord swore to David,* the fruit of your body I will set upon your
throne.
PRAYERS
Lord, have mercy upon us.
Christ, have mercy upon us.
Lord, have mercy upon us.
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Do not bring us to the time of trial,
but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power,
and the glory are yours,
now and for ever. Amen.
Collect of the Day
O God,
who, by the guidance of a star,
revealed your only begotten Son to the nations:
Grant that we, who know you now by faith,
may at the last be led to see your glory face to face;
through the same Jesus Christ, our Lord,
who lives and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, world without end.
Amen
Lord God almighty, come and dispel the darkness from our hearts, that in the radiance of your brightness we may know you, the only unfading light, glorious in all eternity.
Amen.
Let us bless the Lord:
Thanks be to God!
The God of hope fill us with all joy and peace in believing:
through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
