Online worship schedule during Christmas

Over the next week, the Scottish Episcopal Church will broadcast a series of online services on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

Christmas 1 (Sunday 26)

The Rt Rev Ian Paton leads a Celebration of the Eucharist for the first Sunday after Christmas.

The service comes from the chapel at Glenalmond College.

Christmas Eve

On Friday evening at 11.30pm there will be a service of Midnight Mass. The Most Rev Mark Strange leads a Celebration of the Eucharist from St Paul’s, Strathnairn, broadcast at 11.30pm on Christmas Eve.

Bishop Mark is joined by young members of the Diocese of Moray, Ross & Caithness, Erina from St John’s, Forres; Jaden from Holy Trinity Elgin; Ley-Anne Forsyth and Matthew Haigh. Music is from the Scottish Episcopal Virtual Choir, recorded in 2020, with organ from Michael Bawtree.

Christmas Day

The Rt Rev Andrew Swift, Bishop of Brechin, leads a Celebration of the Eucharist from St Martin’s, Dundee.

Christmas Day Children’s Chapel

A special broadcast of Children’s Chapel will also take place on Christmas Day at 8am, with the team from the Diocese of Edinburgh leading.
