Youth Committee

The Provincial Youth Committee (PYC) represents all young people in the Scottish Episcopal Church and oversees events and activities involving young people throughout the year.

The PYC has seats for a Youth Officer and three youth representatives from each diocese: two aged 12-18 and one 18-25. The Provincial Youth Committee provides a safe space for young people to share their experiences, voice their opinions and have a say as members of their church. Only the youth reps are voting members, and the position of Chair is held by an elected youth representative. The PYC is regularly invited to address the annual General Synod.

The PYC is overseen by the Mission Board and led by the Convener, Rev Canon Tembu Rongong, who is also the Leader of the Provincial Youth Week. The work of the PYC is facilitated by the Provincial Youth Ministry Team.
