The Diocese of Edinburgh recently launched ‘Play Church’ – a novel way of engaging children in church. It’s a child-sized altar which is fully equipped with all sorts of items for use in worship, and is designed to travel from church to church. With robes for dressing up and child-safe candles to light, it offers children an immersive experience, encouraging them to play and wonder about worship, God and the Church.
