Vacancy: Ministry Development Officer, Diocese of Edinburgh

The Diocese of Edinburgh is seeking a part time (18.75 hours) Ministry Development Officer on a fixed term appointment of 3 years.
The MDO will work closely with the bishop and our synodical structures, to support the ongoing development and wellbeing of all in authorised ministry in the diocese.

We seek someone who has experience of the pressures of church-based ministry, a good communicator and confidential networker. The postholder will have experience of facilitating events and training opportunities, for large groups as well as reviews on an individual scale, and of providing training resources where required (online or in person).

The postholder is likely to be an ordained person within the Anglican Communion, and will be well organised, approachable, with an ability to prioritise workloads.

Salary will be £13,500 and the postholder joins the generous SEC Pension Scheme. The postholder will be accountable to the Convenor of the DMMC. It is expected that the postholder will be based within the Diocesan Office (once it is fully open).
