Calendar and Lectionary
The tradition of the church is to be united around a common set of readings at the principal services of each day, whether these be the Daily ‘Offices’ of Morning and Evening Prayer or the Eucharist.
Alongside this, certain days are highlighted to celebrate the key events of the Church’s year and the lives of those whom we officially call our ‘saints’.
The Calendar provides the details for the different events and saints days, whilst the lectionary is the readings set for each particular day of the year.
A guide to the particulars of using the Calendar and Lectionary in the current year is also available.
