Online worship with Bishop Anne Dyer

April 17, 2020

Following the recent announcement from the Government that the lockdown will last at least a further three weeks, the Rt Rev Anne Dyer celebrates the Eucharist for the Second Sunday of Easter from the tiny chapel in her attic at home in Aberdeen this weekend.

The Bishop of Aberdeen & Orkney will be assisted virtually by the Rev Dr Jenny Holden as Deacon.

The service will begin at 11am on April 19 and the liturgy will be available to download before the service here.

The broadcast is available for all to access on YouTube and Facebook. The Facebook page is available here and the YouTube page here.

The Scottish Episcopal Church website will also contain a downloadable video and audio format of the service, when these are ready. The service will be available for one week after its initial broadcast.

We encourage people to distribute the video/audio recordings and the Liturgy widely within their own personal networks. In households with no internet or playback capacity at all, if people are simply given the opportunity to read the words of the Liturgy to themselves close to the appointed time, they will be praising God along with others in the Church.
