Prayers for all involved in train derailment tragedy

August 12, 2020

Responding to the awful incident today, where a train was derailed south of Stonehaven, leading to reports of serious injuries to those on board, the Primus, the Most Rev Mark Strange, said:

“Our hearts go out to those who have lost loved ones and our hearts also go out to those who have been ministering to the injured and the dying. We pray for those who are injured, and for those who are struggling with what they have witnessed.

“We now pray for the departed and I hope that across Scotland those prayers will be echoed in places of worship and in people’s homes.”

Heavenly Father look with kindness on those who mourn and lift the souls of the departed into your light, we ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
