The Most Rev David Chillingworth, Bishop of St Andrews, Dunkeld & Dunblane and Primus of the Scottish Episcopal Church has written to the Bishop of Peshawar saying: "I heard with deep shock and distress of the appalling attack at All Saint"s Church. People across the world find it hard to contemplate the scale of such random violence and the enormous suffering which it brings. I write on behalf of the clergy and people of the Scottish Episcopal Church to express to you and to the clergy and people of your Diocese our deep sympathy and reassurance of our prayers as they minister in this very difficult situation."
