Primus to attend Afghanistan Commemoration Service at St Paul’s Cathedral, London

On Friday 13th March, The Most Rev David Chillingworth, Bishop of St Andrews, Dunkeld & Dunblane and Primus of the Scottish Episcopal Church, will attend a service to mark the end of combat operations in Afghanistan. Her Majesty the Queen and senior Royals, together with senior political and military figures, representatives of the Afghan nation, and leaders of world faiths will be in attendance.

Bishop David says, “I’m glad to be able to represent our Church at this Service which marks the end of a long, challenging and costly campaign. We give thanks for the bravery of our Armed Services and remember in prayer those who have been bereaved and injured.”

The service will be broadcast live on BBC1, with coverage beginning at 10.30am.
