SEC on the march for climate justice at COP26

November 4, 2021

Members of the Scottish Episcopal Church will be marching with the Faiths & Beliefs Bloc at the COP26 Global Day for Climate Justice on Saturday [6 November].

People from different faiths and beliefs will march together for climate justice through the streets of Glasgow. The march will start shortly after participants hear from leaders of different faith and belief groups from across the world and will end in Glasgow Green with a rally at 3pm.

SEC participants should meet at 11.30am at the Stewart Memorial Fountain in Kelvingrove Park, Glasgow. The SEC gathering is being organised by the Dicoese of Glasgow & Galloway, and anyone who wants to join the contingent or needs further information should get in touch with Petko Marinov on digitalmissioner@glasgow.anglican.org. To find them on the day, call Petko on 07719 611 007.

As the Diocese of Glasgow & Galloway announcement on Facebook says: “Let’s make a joyful noise and share our hopes for a better future. Bring along your signs, placards, and musical instruments. And come suitably dressed for a November day in Glasgow!”

Anyone planning to attend is encouraged to take a lateral flow test before coming, to wear a mask, and to maintain a suitable distance to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
