Enable Grant launched to support projects for children, young people and their families

May 12, 2023

The Church in Society Committee of the Scottish Episcopal Church has relaunched its grant funding scheme to support projects which work to enable life in all its fullness for children, young people and their families.

The Enable Grant, which was previously known as the Child Poverty Grant, can be used to access up to £5000 in any one year. The Church in Society committee is interested in funding a wide range of initiatives and there are no prescribed types of project.

The Reverend Fr Simon Scott, Convener of the Committee, said: After serious and prayerful reflection, we are pleased to have been able to revise the criteria and application requirements for our Enable Grant scheme – making it easier for groups to access the funds we hold on behalf of the Mission Board.

“In this time of increasing poverty for families, our focus is to support and enable our congregations and their connected communities to make a difference through their love and service.”

As long as your group has a connection to one of our SEC congregations and is meeting a real need in your community (expecting to impact on the lives of children, young people and their families), your application will be considered. Please see the following documents for more information:
